Here is an email I got this morning from Brent's wife Shirley. [QUOTE=Shirley] Hi John - This is Shirley writing, rather than Brent. He's still unable to get around much. I will blame it on the timing - this came on the Tues before his second surgery on Wed the 5th. So, I was distracted. Since he's been home I've been a 24x7 nurse, so I've had little time for much else. Brent spent 11 days in the hospital, and has been home now for 9 days. The first few days home were rough, but every day he gets a little better. I've been keeping notes, and it's very apparent to me - even if I have to occasionally remind Brent! But he must be getting better because he's getting bored! Today we went in for his first visit to the clinic. It all looks good, the Dr's are pleased with his progress - and we got the good news that his fracture should be about 8-12 weeks to heal. Since apparently some fractures like his can be 6 months - that was good news indeed! He still has the knee problem, but I am taking extra good care of him and his nutrition - so we'll have him vertical again before too long! Again - I am so very sorry I didn't respond sooner. Hey - and it sounds like the Katrina raffle is really doing well! Mike Crixell called Brent while he was in the hospital, he was really pleased to hear how much had been raised.
